Manatees Galore

January 14, 2024.

Bella’s scout troop left last Friday to go on a manatee trip. They had a long trip, plus an overnighter, but they arrived at their destination yesterday afternoon.

Today, they will go on a boat and swim with the manatees. Bella gets in a wetsuit and tries out the snorkel. She is excited and they all head out to the manatees’ hangout.

They are truly blessed. There are sooo many manatees this year, nothing like they have ever seen before.

Bella is baffled by their size and one swims right under her feet. She truly enjoys observing these gentle giants.

The rest of the camp out is also a great success. Bella gets to fish, do some canoeing, tries to make a campfire and works on several of the requirements for rank advancement.
