Something Too Ponder On

We do not stop playing, because we grow old.
We grow old, because we stop playing.

I came across this quote and it made me stop and think. How true. Even though, we may not always be physically able to be involved in all the playing, there is still enough we can do with our children and grandkids.

I understand now too, why children keep you young. They entice and even prod you, to play with them. It is fun, and laughter is still the best medicine.

Looking at myself, I love to play with our grandsons. Even though I am exhausted afterwards, I enjoy every second of it. I think it is good for the entire emotional and mental state. It gives the mind a break from all the daily problems.

Okay, let's just be honest here. It feels good to be a kid again. Even if it is only for a little while. :-)
