Smushrooms
Date of occurrence:
January 6, 2020.
I didn't think Lily had been listening when I told her about the mushrooms we saw in the park. I was wrong, very wrong. This afternoon, Lily's Mom called to tell us the following.
Lily found some mushrooms in their backyard and ran inside to tell her Mom all about it.
Lily: "There is smushmallows in the yard. Little white smushmallows."
Mom: "You mean mushrooms??"
Lily: "Yeah, smushrooms. Those tiny, little people live in it. What you call 'em?"
Mom: "Gnomes?"
Lily: "Yes, gnomes. Bell picked a big house and all the little gnomes ran away."
We laughed and laughed. I stand corrected though. She did pay close attention when I told her about the gnomes and their houses.
I suppose her imagination did the rest! Grin.
