The Canoe Trip
Date of occurrence:
August 8. 2020.
Kc, Leo, Emmaly, their Mom and their stepdad are going on a canoe trip. Mom wanted to do something special before Leo and Emmaly are going back home.
They are packed and ready. The trip takes about 9 hours peddling. The first day they will do about 4 hours and set up camp for the night. The next day they will do the rest and return back home afterwards.
Since Lupin (one of their dogs) doesn't do well staying home, he comes along too. Loaded with almost everything but the kitchen sink, they go on their merry way.
Kc takes pictures as soon as camp is set up. The kids swim and dinner is cooked over a campfire.
Sleep does not come easy to everyone. Mom got about 10 minutes the entire night. The kids fared a little better.
As soon as all is packed up, they get back in the canoes. Paddling back takes longer then expected and logs in the water didn't really help either.
They made it back home safe and sound though and had a good time.
Although, Emmaly reveals to Opa: "I have sand in places I don't even want to say!"
