Backpacking Trip #2

Date of occurrence:
March 20, 2022.

Even though Kc didn’t like the first backpacking trip, he did go on the second one this weekend. 

They are coming back this morning.

And we had to find out how it went.

So, we asked.

And here is his recount of the trip:

“1.5 miles back to the car and Friday was the worst night ever, because people wanted to take so many breaks.  So, we got to the camp at nighttime. The ‘stairway to heaven’ was the worst part and we had to pitch our tents on a hill, because somebody said: “Let’s not hike more, let’s stay here.”, and Saturday I landed on rocks twice with my right knee. If I extend it fully while walking, it hurts badly.”

Anything forgotten, broken, or lost?

“Well, the hiking poles kept on going up and down. So, I hated adjusting it back, but besides that, my tent net had a big huge hole in the netting,  but it’s ok and one hook is broken.”

How was the nature?

“Nice, but still did not enjoy it and it wasn’t because of pain, it was just because I didn’t like it. The scoutmaster even asked if I did a sport or something, because I was always the leader and the first one to finish. There was no store at the hiking trail so no souvenirs.”
