April Fool’s Day?

Date of occurrence:
April 1, 2025.

Kc has been working for a food delivery service to make some extra money, since his part time job doesn’t  have enough hours for him to work.

We haven’t seen him for several days, but today he comes home after school with big news. He is accepted as an employee for an hvac company as soon as he graduates.

That is great and we are happy for him.

Suddenly it dawns on me.

Me:”Kc, is this an April Fool’s Day joke?”
Kc:"What is?"
Me:"You getting a job after high school."

Kc laughs and assures me it is not a joke.

Phew, that’s a relief.

I just had to ask, since each year he tells me he will get me on April Fool’s Day. Maybe he still did? Nah, I doubt that.

Needles to say, we are excited for and proud of him!
