Ginger Bread House

Date of occurrence:
November 18, 2018.

Aunt A. has the luminous idea to assemble a ginger bread house with Kc, Leo, and Emmaly this Sunday afternoon.

She asks if it is okay to do it at our house. We laugh out loud and tell her we understand she would rather mess up our house instead of hers. Grin.

No, seriously. It is fine. I am even looking forward to it, because I have never made one myself and would love to.

Aunt A. takes out the ginger bread kit and we read the instructions. It is pretty simple and they get to work. It starts out fine. It is getting a little messier as both time and work progress.

When the house is assembled and decorated, the icing can be found not only on the ginger bread, but on the kids, their clothes, the table cloth, and the floor. Leo even accidently tried to decorate his hair with it.

The house is a little messy, but pretty though. I don't think it looks bad at all, considering it is a first for all of us.

Upon asking what they want to do with their creation, a unanimous "Eat it!" is the answer.

The ginger bread house is consumed in no time. The clean up takes a little longer. Finding candies all throughout the house...

Several days! Grin.
