Halloween Lights

September 29, 2023.

There is a Halloween lights display not far from aunt A.’s house and we think the kids would love to see it. We consult their mom and pick up Kc, Bella, Lily, and Londyn. Sophia was supposed to go too, but she came down with a cold.

On the way to the light show, the girls tell us their plans. Bella is going in the scouts, Lily will attend dance, and Londyn and Sophia are going to do ‘nastics’ (gymnastics) as Londyn calls it.

As we arrive, the kids all get a baggie with a lollipop and some other candy in it from the organizers. We set the radio to the specified station and begin the drive through. 

They all enjoy the show and sing along with the spooky songs. Londyn is giggling and laughing. Bella and Lily are hanging out of the window to get a better look. Kc has a headache and the flickering lights are not helpful. He enjoys what he can.

Opa is with us on FaceTime and shares in the fun. Even though we are driving super slow, the show is over much too fast to everyone’s liking. Londyn says: “I wish we could stay here!”  We can’t, unfortunately and head on home.

We all agree it was a fun evening.

And that is the most important thing of all!
