The Christmas Parade

Date of occurrence:
December 11, 2010.

I almost forgot to tell y'all about the Christmas parade we all went to. It was a little ways away from us, but our youngest daughter wanted to go there, so the little ones could see the Christmas parade and gather up some candy.

We wouldn't pass that up for the world and off we all went.

Little miss Emmy had a great time and loved the parade and all the attention she was getting.

She didn't always like the fact that she couldn't walk around; it was too dangerous with all the wagons passing by.

It didn't bother her for long; she has a very sweet disposition and she enjoyed watching and clapping her hands every now and then.

The boys were rather surprised at first, when the candy and other goodies were thrown at them. Eventually, they got the jest of it and filled up their bags in no time.

We told them to wave and say 'Merry Chrismas' which they did and even more sweet treats got thrown in their direction. All in all, it was a very enjoyable and productive morning.

At the end, the grand kids had almost two bags full of candy. Not surprisingly; sweets for the sweet, huh?! :-)
