The Flutterby
Date of occurrence:
December 12, 2010.
Even though it took a while, little Kc is talking up a storm and in a very understandable English as well; even the construction of the sentences are correct. Way to go, little man!
He loves to play outside and although I sit with him on several occassions, he is slowly, but surely spending more time outside by himself. Of course I keep a close eye on him and so far, so good.
It does mean however, that we miss out on all the exciting things and creatures he sees and stumbles upon. No problem; he is eager to share. The other day, he came running in, all excited. In his excitement he stumbled over his words and announced he had seen a flutterby.
I laughed when I heard it and corrected him, but wait: that was actually a pretty smart observation. Yeah, why is it called a Butterfly, when all it does is flutter by???? Grin.
