The Road To Independence

This post brought to you by NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

I honestly don't mind getting older, as long as I will be able to get around. There is no guarantee though and I already have decided, in case I would become disabled, to engage the services of NMEDA for good information about what product we would need and finding dealers who could help us adapt our vehicle.

NMEDA can provide us with one of their dealers or a Quality Assurance Program (QAP)dealer. The first are members engaged in the modification of quality transportation for people with disabilities and the latter improve modifications on vehicles and install mobility equipment in accordance with the highest guidelines available in the industry.

Being disabled is already tough enough on those who are taking care of you. In case that is a loved one, they either would be confined to staying at home with you, or dedicate the spare time they have running errands. There is no need for that; handicap vans or modified transportation are an excellent way of regaining independence and freedom.

It is easy to find a NMEDA dealer near you; go to the homepage and type in your ZIP code. I found three qualified dealers close by and I am curious how many there are at or near your location. I would appreciate it if you would let me know by leaving a comment. Thanks!
