Small Thing, Huge Difference
Date of occurrence:

I am always impressed with the little things our oldest grandson remembers. Even though he is just over five years old now, he apparently makes mental notes of the likes and dislikes of others and always ensures to bring them something he knows they can and will appreciate.
Knowing how much I love flowers, he will always pick one and surprise me with it and by lack of those, he will look for a pebble, shell, oddly and/or nicely shaped leaf, or one displaying an abundance of colors. It is endearing watching him walk up to me, the little treasure hidden behind his back, announcing; "I got a surprise for you!"
Although it has been a while since he was able to do that, he sure hadn't forgotten about it and told me over the phone that he not only had made a car out of Lego for me, but also that they had planted seeds at home and one plant was for me. He would bring it when they would come over in July.
How sweet! It is through those tiny, little things that he expresses and shows his care and love and speaking from experience; those small things make a huge difference!
