Those Are Ducks???
Date of occurrence:

There is so much to learn in life. Just when you think you got something down pat, you discover that there could be more to it then meets the eye or that there is an entirely different meaning to something.
I suspect we all can relate to that, but imagine what it must be like, when looking at life through the eyes of a child. There you are; enjoying a bath, surrounded by cute, yellow, rubber toys bobbing around. They don't move unless you do and only make a sound when you want them to and you are told those are 'duckies'.
Okay, you grasp the concept and when mom and dad tell you they are taking you to see the ducks, visions of yellow playthings float by in front of your eyes.
I can only imagine what our little guy must have thought when laying eyes on a real, live duck for the first time:
"Those are ducks??? No, that can't be. They don't look anything like my ducks. Why are they making that sound? I am not even touching them. Oh dear, they are moving on their own"!
It is already confusing enough when we run into a situation like that and it must lead to even more confusion for our little ones. Better get used to it; life is full of surprises! :-)
