The Firebug
Date of occurrence:
September 5, 2015.
Kc loves anything and everything that has to do with the outdoors. He likes roaming the woods, carving, digging, and building things. Well, we have something for him he can learn to build: a fire.
We start with the basics. He needs to learn how to handle a Ferro rod. I have kept dryer lint in a plastic bag, because that is a great fire starter. It only takes a few sparks to light it up.
It is raining outside, so we sit our little man down in the bath tub, put some dryer lint in front of him and show him how to operate the Ferro rod.
He tries, and tries, and tries. It is not going so well, until all of a sudden he gets the hang of it and lights lint after lint.
He is excited and we are mighty proud of him. We will practice some more soon.
I don't think our 'firebug' will have a problem with that!
