Unexpected Pleasure
Date of occurrence:
February 18, 2017.
While Kc attended the Scout Pinewood Derby Car Race, we get the unexpected pleasure of baby-sitting Lily.
She is a little shy and cuddly at first.
She follows me around anywhere I go. Yup, I have an additional, extra small shadow attached to me.
It doesn't take long and she starts testing the waters. She soon finds out that 'no' really means 'no'.
She thinks the coffee table is for climbing and I have to pluck her off several times. She gets the message and refers to playing.
After lunch, she takes a nap. It is a short one and I don't think it is long enough, but we will see.
When Kc gets back, Lily is excited to see her big brother.
She wants him to hold her and be close.
The feeling is mutual and they spend some time together lounging is the chair.
It doesn't take long before the little critter gets a bit cranky. Yeah, she is still tired and I suspect some more Zs are in order.
She doesn't protest at first, but after a little while she calls out. I am not sure what she is calling for, but it does sounds urgent and demanding. I better check on her.
Lily is standing up in bed and as I walk in, she grabs her diaper and says: "Poo-poo".
Me: "Oh no. You made me a present, huh?"
Even if she hadn't mentioned it, it would have been unmistakably clear. I smelled it the moment I walked in. That was unexpected.
Pleasurable? Not really! Grin.
