Merry Christmas!
Date of occurrence:
December 25, 2017.
Unforeseen things always happen and usually at the worst time possible. My back went out Saturday evening and I am barely able to move much.
Our oldest daughter is so sweet to come over and prepare dinner under my directions and instructions. She made the casseroles yesterday, shared Christmas Eve with us, and even stayed the night.
We are so grateful for her help. If it wasn't for her, Christmas dinner would have been catered or called off. Thank you so much, A.! :-)
Dinner is scheduled for 2 PM and everyone is present to sit down and enjoy the meal. Emmaly and Leo arrive just in time to have a bite as well.
The kids can hardly wait to open their gifts. The heap of presents under the tree is unreal. Ours, aunt A.'s, and some Santa brought at youngest daughter's house for Leo and Emmaly, are almost taking up half of the living room.
We manage to get a picture of the children before they dive in, start unwrapping, and in no time turn the living room into total chaos. We don't mind at all.
It is fun to watch those little faces as they reveal their gifts. That is our Christmas present.
Merry Christmas, everyone! :-)
