Let's Go Roller Skating!
Date of occurrence:
June 30, 2018.
The weather is so hot that the children can't even play outside. Since we have the three oldest ones, we are trying to come up with ways to have fun and keep them busy.
Aunt A. wants to take them somewhere and I suddenly remember we still have several tickets for the Skating Rink. They are left over from Kc's Birthday party and render free admission.
That sounds like a plan and the kids are excited and looking forward to this afternoon. We have an early lunch, get them ready, and we are off to the Skating Rink.
Once they have their skates on they take off. Leo is a little unstable, but scoots around without any help. Emmaly and Kc both grab a hold of the roller skate trainer and make their way around the skating rink.
Within no time, Emmaly picks up the speed and flies by, firmly holding on to her aid. Kc finds a little confidence and let's go of his security device. He makes it half way around the rink without falling down.
We are waiting for the accidents to happen and they do. Emmaly falls down several times. She bends her pinky finger first and, a little later, the skate helper hits her ear.
Kc slams into the floor and hurts his left elbow pretty bad. Both kids keep on going though, in spite of the pain.
Leo is the only one who falls down a couple of times, but makes it out unscathed.
By the time we go back home, they are tired and sweaty, but also in agreement.
That was fun!
