Never A Dull Moment

July 17, 2018.

The kids are taking huge advantage of their vacation.

They go to bed later than usual. Casey sleeps in, Leo eats all he can and then some if we let him, and Emmaly loves to watch TV in her room while the boys play on their electronics.

We regularly watch a movie together and play some board/card games. I would love for them to be able to play outside, but it is either way too hot, or thunder and lightning throw a wrench in the works.

They are not bored by any means though and neither am I. With those two extra children, it seems like all I am doing is making meals, pitchers to drink, doing laundry, and prodding them to clean up their mess.

Even though it is exhausting at times, we are happy to have them with us and spend time with them. We just never know what we might run into.

For example: we found Emmaly trying to build a fort with the toy chest and her night stand. We witnessed Leo being careless with toys and electronics, and Casey 'adorning' his room with stickers and turning off the Xbox with an app on his phone while Leo is playing.

One thing is for sure.

Dull moments are hard to find!
