Potty Training

Date of occurrence:
November 2, 2008.
Kc is almost 21 months old.

What do you think will happen when you put an almost 21 month old little guy down for a nap, knowing how much he loves to go exploring? What do you reckon will happen, when he starts exploring and everyone is under the assumption that the bathroom door is closed, but apparently it is not? Yup, you guessed it.... you end up with a mess.

Lil' Kc was supposed to go down for a nap, but ventured out. He managed to somehow get the bathroom door open and stuffed an entire role of toilet-paper in the toilet bowl. He really tried to 'flush' it by using the toilet brush to push it down and make it disappear.

That did not work out very well and his Daddy had to go fishing, trying to get all the parts and pieces out of the bowl and make it usable again. He succeeded in doing so and it is working fine. Everyone had a 'wake-up' call. That was a lesson learned: make sure doors are really closed by checking them.

I can't help but wonder what else he may have 'flushed' that we don't know about? We may suspect, when something is missing. I got to hand it to him: he sure knows what things are for and how they are supposed to work. He also already figured out that in case it doesn't work, he can make them work.

It seemed like he was ready for potty training and did not waste any time. He tried to train the potty that's for sure, the little rascal. :-)
