Better Safe, Then Sorry
It is funny, watching our grandsons play and especially when our oldest grandson takes his truck for a drive. It is actually a push car, but he scoots himself forward with his leg. He sticks it out of the car door and goes where he wants to Flintstone-style.
That doesn't always work well, since the front wheels have the tendency to turn sideway. This throws a wrench in the works, stops him from getting around and aggravates him to no end. Of course, he has no clue whether the truck has a car warranty or not, but he declares his car is broke and has to be fixed.
With his imaginary tools he bangs on the vehicle, straightens out the wheels and tries again. Most of the times, the problem is fixed, although I wonder if I should tell him what an auto warranty means and explain the benefits to him.
I will definitely do so when he is older and gets his own car. Since he constantly proclaims he wants several vehicles, he may even want to consider the option of an extended warranty. Better safe, then sorry!
