The Road To Recovery

We love having our grandchildren staying over, but it also means that we always have to keep a close eye on them. Accidents lurk around every corner and are bound to occur; bumping into something, falling down, and more of those mishaps, are not unusual.

Most of the times, we can easily take care of the minor wounds, scrapes and bumps which they end up with. Cleaning the damaged area and applying a band aid will normally fix the problem and time heals all wounds.

There are situations however when it is necessary to go to the ER, even if it is just to ensure the injury is not as severe as it may look. I can imagine how scary it must be for those little ones, being confronted with all those strange people in nursing uniforms, but it is better to be safe then sorry.

It doesn't have to be a traumatic experience and thanks to all those nice and caring nurses, it usually isn't. Most likely the children will mainly remember the nurses in their colorful and comfy uniforms, which they probably got at http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/.

Yes, accidents happen, but I am grateful for all those caregivers who do all they can to get us back on the road to recovery!
