Independence At Your Fingertips
This post brought to you by NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.
Even though my Rheumatoid Arthritis is well under control and closely watched, that could turn on a dime and disable me to a point where I would have to count on others to take care of me.
I would be very grateful for it, but I can imagine how that would be a great imposition on them and any independence I would have, like transportation for instance, would already take a huge burden of their shoulders.
Should it ever come to that then I would turn to NMEDA. This non-profit trade association educates consumers on buying products from a NMEDA qualified dealer who sells handicap vans and vehicle modifications for the disabled.
They also have a Quality Assurance Program (QAP) which ensures that customers only get to deal with companies in the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry with a consistent, systematic and documented approach to quality.
Finding one of the qualified dealers is not a big deal; by simply entering my zip code in the dealer locator on the NMEDA homepage, I quickly found several in our area. The dealer would evaluate my situation personally and adapt and/or modify the vehicle to my specific needs.
Thanks to a NMEDA dealer, the elderly or disabled can keep their independence much longer or get back onto the road of independence. Use the dealer locator and leave me a comment letting me know how close a qualified dealer is to you.
The road to independence is right at your fingertips!
