There They Are!
Date of occurrence:
July 2, 2012.
And there they are!
After waiting impatiently for our grandchildren to complete their journey and arrive back home, the car finally pulls in the driveway and our front door is open and we are outside probably even before the engine is shut off.
Kc is the first one of the kids to get out of the car. He doesn't waste any time and runs up to us as fast as his little legs will allow. Leo is right behind him, followed by Emmaly.
Kc practically jumped in my arms and I can not tell you how good it was feeling his arms tight around my neck and holding him close. Leo ran right past his aunt and I straight to Opa and Emmaly made a bee-line for her aunt.
It was amazingly great to see them again, but what was most amazing was that after the hugs, kisses, and greetings they were right at home and went about as if they had never left.
We did have a hand in that, because we ensured they found everything where it was when they left. Sometimes, an eye and memory for what seem to be nothing but futile details pay off! :-)

"they were right at home and went about as if they had never left" is the best sentence that describes the tight bond between all of you forever, Lieve Zus (((HUGS)))
Audrey,
Yes, I think they know they always have and will find home here. :-)
