A Spontaneous Reaction

Date of occurrence:
June 27, 2012.

When things are being used, they eventually break or give up the ghost entirely which was the case with our treadmill. You wouldn't consider that to be a big problem, since practically anything can be fixed, unless it is over 25 years old, no longer in production and the needed parts are no longer available.

Yes, it was time to say farewell to our old, broken down exercise equipment and find something new to replace it. Of course this news was shared with our grandchildren as soon as we got to talk to them. Leo always asks what we have been doing and when told about the treadmill, his reaction was 'Oh. What else you been doing'?

I didn't expect them to fully comprehend the situation and what all it meant, but I sure didn't expect this reaction from our oldest grandson:
Me: "You know what happened?"
Kc: "What?"
Me: "Our treadmill broke down."
Kc (highly frustrated): "Oh, man!"

Talking about a spontaneous reaction: Oh man, that sure was one! Grin.
