A Clear View

Date of occurrence:
April 3, 2015.

Today is the day Kc finally gets his eyes checked out. He has had problems reading in class for a while now and I noticed he had to stand close to the TV in order to be able to read the TV guide. After pressing mom to make an appointment she did. We pick her and Bell up and we are on our way.

After a thorough examination it turns out he needs glasses badly. He is severely near-sighted. His left eye is a minus 2 and his right eye is a minus 1.75. Poor little critter, all he must have seen in the distance was nothing but a big blur to him.

We were told his eye-sight must have been deteriorating for quite a while now, but he had been compensating for it. Now we know and understand where his headaches, tiredness and dizzy spells come from.

It will take a little while before he is adjusted to the glasses and his corrected vision, but he will feel a whole lot better.

The glasses he had selected were ready the same day and after picking them up, a whole new world opened up to him.

The first thing he said was that everything was so tiny and he suddenly saw details.

Yeah, that happens when you finally get a good perspective.

We are so thankful he now has a clear view on life!
