Advancement Awards Ceremony
Date of occurrence:
June 5, 2016.
Yesterday evening was the Advancement Awards Ceremony for the scouts and Kc advanced to Webelos. His blue uniform will be retired and a tan and green one will replace it.
We made his den leader a small token of our appreciation for all the hard work she put forth this year.
It is raining cats and dogs, but that doesn't stop us and off we go.
Pizza and drinks are readily available and all the scouts are excited.
After the meal it is time for the awards.
Kc is mighty proud when it is his turn and he receives his badge and Webelos neckerchief and slide.
Today, we retired his old uniform and put all of his awards, belt loops, and pins on his 'wall of fame'.
It is already looking very impressive.
We also learned he is advancing to the fourth grade next school year.
That is a job well done, little man. We all know what that means.
