Little Lily
Date of occurrence:
June 21, 2016.
Mom is surprising the children by taking them to the movies. Lily is too young to go which is unfortunate for her, but fortunate for us; we get to baby-sit the little critter for the entire afternoon.
She is a very sweet baby and only whines when she is hungry or has a dirty diaper.
She talks up a storm and crawls around the living room to play with the toys.
The thing she loves most is being held and so I do.
She lays her head on my chest and goes: "Ah, ah, ahh, ah". She lifts up her head and looks at me to see if I respond. I answer by mimicking her.
Down goes her head and she repeats her words and actions. We play this game for a while until she starts whining. She is hungry and devours a sandwich with apple butter and a small yoghurt.
We play the game again, but this time in reverse. I try to get her to say: "Hi, Opa." and eventually she squeaks out: "Hi, Apa." Well done, Lily.
I roll a ball to her and she loves it. She laughs each time it is coming towards her and crawls after it.
Time flies by and before we know it, Mom and kids are back to pick Lily up.
We had a great time and we ought to do that again soon.
Very soon!
