The Cleaning Bug

Date of occurrence:
August 16, 2016.

My old vacuum cleaner gave up the ghost and after a diligent search and comparison, I found a new one online that fit the bill.

It was being delivered today after supper and I am excited. My excitement is nothing compared to Kc's; he is ecstatic and can't wait until it is assembled and he can try it out.

That will have to wait. Since it is a cordless vacuum cleaner, the battery has to be charged first. He is a little disappointed, but it doesn't prevent him from moving the new device across the floor to get a feel for it.

He loves it and can't contain his enthusiasm.
Kc: "This is awesome. Opa, look. It has the on and off switch on the handle! I can't wait until the battery is charged."

It is time for him to go to bed, but about half an hour later he gets up with the question: "Is the battery charged yet?"

We laugh. Yes, it is charged and we let our little man vacuum for just a bit. He can't get enough of it, but it is time for him to catch some z's instead of dirt and dust. Reluctantly he goes to bed.

We can't get over the fact that a 9 year old boy is so happy with a new vacuum cleaner which isn't even for him.

He must have been bitten by the cleaning bug!
