Admiring Art
Date of occurrence:
August 13, 2016.
There is an entire chapter in Kc's scout book called 'Art Explosion'. It is geared towards bringing out the creativity in the boys and opening up their minds to all kinds of different expressions of art.
One of the requirements is to go to an art museum. That is right up my alley and today is an excellent time to pay it a visit. Kc is all up for it and bubbling with enthusiasm, because it is his first time going to a museum.
It takes us about two hours to see and admire all the paintings and wooden, glass, and ceramic sculptures. Kc loves it all and is baffled when he finds out that some of the creations are several hundred years old.
He claims there is not a specific type of art he loves most, although he heavily gravitates towards the abstract works. I don't agree with him saying he does not have a favorite, due to the following.
The museum had a special attraction: 40 speakers were set up in 8 groups in a room. A song recorded by a choir was played. Each voice in that choir was recorded separately and played back through a speaker of its own.
And here is what happened:
It was music to his ears!
