Merry Christmas
Date of occurrence:
December 25, 2018.
Christmas dinner is ready when everyone arrives. Everyone, except Leo and Emmaly. They will come late in the afternoon.
Lily makes a run for the toys in the guest room, followed by Bell. Kc joins me in the kitchen and is telling me all about the awesome gifts Santa already brought him.
We load up our plates and sit down to enjoy. And we do. We enjoy both the food and each other's company.
It would be even more enjoyable if we had the entire crew together, but we know that is not possible. At least not this year. Maybe next year. You never know.
That doesn't prevent our hearts from being filled with gratitude and joy.
