The Set Up

Date of occurrence:
December 9, 2008.
Kc is 22 months and Leo is 10 and a half months old.

We had been looking forward to last Sunday; the kids and grandkids were coming over after church, we had dinner together and intended to set up and decorate the Christmas.

It is a family tradition to schedule with everyone and do all this together. This year both the boys will be present as well and even though I could foresee several broken decorations, it would not weigh up to having them here and enjoying the set up and participating in it.

Lil' Kc was a big help when we put the tree together. He handed us the branches and got all wrapped up in and fascinated with the tree that took shape in front of his eyes. He had to feel it and pluck at it. Leo did not seem to care much for any of it.

It did not quite work out as we had planned. We got no further then assembling our natural looking, artificial Christmas tree after dinner and then we decided to just enjoy the grand children and the kids' visit.

It was a step in the right direction though and that was the main thing. We finished decorating the tree on a later date and when that was done, we had to set up a time for Santa Claus to drop off the gifts, which he did.

Seeing how many gifts he left under the tree, I suspect the boys must have been nice this year. :-)
