Healthy, Tasty and Nutritious

With our grandson staying over for a while, I have become even more aware about our eating habits. We already had decreased our salt intake substantially and are cutting back on the calories, but our diet can still be healthier and could definitely stand some more variety.

I find it rather difficult to prepare a meal which is both tasty and healthy. Sure, I can come up with a concoction which would please the taste buds, but I doubt that Nutrition wise it would stand up to the test. Thankfully, there are tips, hints and recommendations galore to help me out with that.

It is rather easy to serve a nutritious supper which everyone loves, thanks to the many recipes which are available on the Internet. They don't cost an arm and a leg either and most of the ingredients can commonly be found in our kitchen cabinets. It presents one problem though: my excuse for not knowing what and therefore not having to cook just went out the window!
