Empty Nest Syndrome

Since our oldest got married and the newlyweds have a place of their own, it has been rather quiet around here. We hadn't noticed it so much, because our oldest grandson has been staying here quite a bit, but as soon as he went home, it creeps up on us; the empty nest syndrome.
It prompted the desire to establish a tradition of having a family dinner at our house once or twice a month. Our oldest was all for it, but our youngest couldn't make it this time. We are going to go ahead with it anyway and hope she can come next time.
It would be great having at least two of our children and all of our grandchildren over on a regular basis. :-)
