That Hurts My Feelings

Date of occurrence:
June 22, 2011.

Our little man usually doesn't stay away for too long and before we knew it, he was back to stay for a few days.

It is becoming more and more obvious that the walls have ears so to speak and he picks things up pretty quick with the full knowledge of what it means. The following situation is an excellent example of that:

Kc asked me if he could have something sweet, but since it was already heading towards supper time, I told him he couldn't and why. He kept asking and eventually, he got angry with the constant negative answer.

He looked at me for a second, with a huge frown on his face. All of a sudden, the entire facial expression changed from anger to being pitiful and almost crying he announced: "But, but.... that hurts my feelings. My heart got broke".

I don't think he got the effect he was looking for, when I busted out laughing and told Opa what he said. I honestly don't know where he got it, but it must have worked for whoever said it and used those phrases.

The funny thing of it all was that the little rascal had to laugh about it too! Grin.

Audrey,
The little face that goes with that pulls even more at your heart, believe me!

God's Grace.
