Changing Up With The Times

These days, it is rather difficult to find stand up comedies which are appropriate for the entire family and I was real pleased seeing the videos on the American Family Insurance site which fit the bill perfectly.

This is good, old fashioned entertainment which will make you laugh out loud and, in many cases, hits home as well. You will recognize or remember several of the situations portrayed in these Stand Up For Family videos and even though they are presented with humor, they do make you think about the importance of family.

I think that last is a good thing. We may have lost track of what is really important and family could be one of them. Putting the emphasis back on it is a good reminder to re-evaluate and adjust our values and I am glad these videos by AmFam reinforce the importance of family.

Personally, I liked the 'Old School Grandmother' by Mark Viera. Even though I am not as rough and tough as he describes his grandma, I always do tell our grandchildren to keep their hands in their pockets and not touch anything, before going into a store and yes, where it concerns the products we buy, I too am a creature of habit.

Maybe changing up with the times is in order and our grandchildren should tell me to get my hands out of my pockets and check out products which I normally would pass up!
