Day At The Beach
Date of occurrence:
September 17, 2011.
It is going to be another beautiful, but hot day and while pondering upon what to do with the boys and where to take them, we thought it would be a great day for the beach.
Sun, sand and water; what more could a child want and since mom had no plans for the day, she decided she and Emmaly would come along and share in the fun.
We drove down to the Island and hoisted the grandkids into their bathing suits. That was easier said then done; they were all excited and eager to dig in the sand and splash around in the water.
Eventually we got it done and let them loose. Grin.
They all had a great time, trying to outrun the waves which came rolling ashore, playing in the sand, the water, and looking for shells and pebbles.
Opa and Oma found themselves a nice spot on a large rock and delighted in the fun they all had, taking pictures and assisting mom with keeping an eye on the little ones.
A bag full of pebbles and shells returned home with us and Mr. Sandman had no problem finding sand to sprinkle in the boys' eyes that night. Not that he needed it.
The boys crashed! :-)
