Logical Thinking
Date of occurrence:
October 22, 2011.
Leo is starting to talk better and better and he is quite logical in his speech as well. We found that out after having done some grocery shopping and were on our way back to the house.
One of the roads which we normally take from the store back to our house leads past several meadows. Some have horses in them and others lots of cows and even a few donkeys.
We passed the first grassy area and Leo mentions he saw 'horsies'. When passing the second one Kc tells us he saw a cow, when suddenly Leo enthusiastically proclaims;" I saw five cowses"!
We started laughing and tried to tell him that the word is 'cows' and not 'cowses', but we have to admit that his thinking is logical; house - houses, therefore it has to be cow - cowses.
He had us laughing the rest of the way home. Of course that didn't help trying to teach him the proper word, but that is okay. He will learn it soon enough!
