Swing It
Date of occurrence:
October 22, 2011.
Even though the boys enjoy playing outside in the yard, they are always up for something new and different. Going to the park is an exciting outing for both them and us; they get to run, play, and climb, and we have a great time watching them have fun.
The more and diverse the playground equipment is the better, but there is not always time to take the long drive to a park and it isn't necessary either. With so many schools around, there is more then enough for them to occupy their time in a pleasant way.
There is already one almost around the corner from us and its playground offers a wide diversity in equipment.
It actually presents a dilemma for the boys when they first get there; they don't know where to go and what to do first.
The small fort draws their attention and after having climbed up, slide down and explored it, they move on.
The funny thing is that they always seem to come back to the swings. I can't blame them; there is nothing more thrilling then feeling the wind through your hair and swaying as high as you dare above the ground.
I don't know how those little rascals swing it, but they do; Oma always ends up pushing them!
