Our Newest Addition

As you may already have gathered from the changed look of my blog; we have another little grandson: Levi Michel Christiaan. He was born on January 23rd and is the first child to our second youngest daughter and her husband, who live in the Netherlands.

Our newest addition weighed in at 7 lbs and 4.9 ounces. We don't know how tall he is because apparently the hospital doesn't measure the babies anymore due to potential damage to the little ones' hips.

It says 'little rascal' on his hat.


Both the proud mom and son were home the same day and although Levi had some problems at first keeping his temperature and needed a hot water bottle in his crib, the day after he was fine and already didn't need it anymore.

Appearance wise, he resembles his dad, but according to our daughter he has the traits of his mom: he likes sleeping. I had to laugh when she said that, but she said she preferred it that way and not the other way around: she was told Levi's daddy was a cry-baby, in the literal sense of the word.

Even if Levi would be crying a lot; one look at that cute little face and it would be forgotten in an instant!
