Treasured Rocks
Date of occurrence:
December 23, 2011.
The boys are ready and eager to visit the Garden which is all decorated for Christmas. They are excited and even though we waited until the last minute to tell them, every second seems like an eternity to them. Finally, off they go.
They wandered around for several hours and had a great time admiring all the Christmas lights. Since they hardly ever get out in the dark to do some exploring, it only added to the excitement, adventure, and the atmosphere.
They came back tired, but with lots to tell. The very first thing however Kc did, after he stepped through the door, was giving both Opa and I a small rock which he had brought back especially for us. Aunt A. told us he wouldn't leave until he had found one for each of us.
Awww, that was so sweet. Those little gifts found a special place; Opa's is on his computer desk and mine is on the dresser in the bedroom. They may look like ordinary, small rocks to anyone else, but they are treasures to us!
