Tomato, Motato
Date of occurrence:
July 2, 2012.
It is incredible how the pitter-patter of those little feet, the sounds of play and even just the presence of children bring an abundance of life to a home.
The air being filled with their voices already creates a totally different atmosphere and even though it may take away the serenity, calmness, and peace (yes, disagreements and minor accidents occur) which normally fills our house; it adds more joy, excitement, and fun through unexpected situations and occurrences.
Right of the bat, little Kc was playing with his sister's little kitchen and followed my example of whipping up a meal. Helpful as he always is, he grabbed something which he thought I could use and brought it to me.
While holding out his hand and showing me the food he had chosen, he said: "Here Oma, I brought you a motato". I could see the confusion on his face when I busted out laughing and after explaining to him that it was called a 'tomato', he too saw the fun in it and we both laughed about the mix-up.
Sharing moments like this are some of those small, unexpected pleasures and blessings that make life grand! :-)
