Even though Sinterklaas is having his Birthday on December 6, he arrives long before that.

It is an indication to the children that they can put out their shoe in the evening and possibly find some goodies in it in the morning.

You can compare it to putting out milk and cookies for Santa.

St. Nicolaas arrived today and Levi went out to see him dock his boat in the harbor.

From here on out, Sinterklaas will be traveling on horseback.

Now you understand why there is a carrot in Levi's shoe. Wait a minute. Mom and Dad's shoe too?

I hope they have been good this year! Grin.
