A Good Boy

August 23, 2016.

We can tell Kc is tired. His brain is working slower then normal and he has a hard time staying focused.

The rainy weather, all the excitement of going back to school, starting scouts again, and Opa's birthday may have gotten the best of him.

We think it would be a good idea to get him to bed early. He has no problems with that and is ready in no time.

He gives Opa a good night hug.
Opa: "Good night, little man."
Kc: "Nite, nite."
Opa: "Sleep well."
Kc: "You too."
Opa: "Sweet dreams. I love you."
Kc: "Love you too."

As we start walking down the hall towards Kc's bedroom, Opa says: "Kc, you are a good boy."
Kc replies: "You too."

I grin, turn to Opa and say: "He just called you a good boy."
Opa: "I heard."

We both laugh. It takes Kc a few moments before he realizes what he said. He giggles and states the obvious: "That's funny."
Me: "Yes, it is."
Kc: "You ought to put that in my book."
I grin and tell him I will.
