A Happy Thanksgiving

Date of occurrence:
November 23, 2017.

Aunt A. picks up Bella and Lily and they get here around 10 this morning. Both girls look so pretty and since we have almost the entire gang together, I can't pass up the opportunity to snap a picture of them.

After the picture, they don't waste any time and set out to play. Somehow, they all end up in the guest bedroom doing their thing. The boys are focused on the games on their electronics, while the girls play with their doll house.

Aunt A. keeps a watchful eye on the children, so I can concentrate on putting the finishing touches on our Thanksgiving dinner. Emmaly and I already engaged in some dinner preparations yesterday and the time-consuming dishes are done.

She loves to help with the cooking and made the sweet potato casserole almost all by herself. I cooked the potatoes and measured the rest of the ingredients and Emmaly added, mixed, and poured it into the baking dish. It is time to eat and we gather around the table.

Lily wants a 'pippa' (pizza) breadstick and a sweet role. Isabella fills up on corn on the cob. Leo tries it all but ends up concentrating on the stuffing. Emmaly and Kc like and eat everything. Kc even overeats and has no more room for dessert. Emmaly on the other hand left some space for two helpings.

It's all delicious, if I may say so myself. Compliments fill the air and Emmaly gleams as everyone thanks her for the scrumptious sweet potato casserole. And we are thankful for having the grandchildren over to share this special meal with us.

We hope your Thanksgiving was just as good as ours! :-)
