Silver War

Date of occurrence:
May 2, 2018.

Kc is doing his homework. He has a list of words and has to use each of them in a sentence. He gets to the word 'meaningful' and ponders on it for a little while.

All of a sudden he says: "I have an idea. I was thinking of this sentence: The teacher was very meaningful today, because she taught us about the Silver War."

Opa and I start laughing.

Opa: "The Silver War? You mean the Civil War."
Kc grins: "Yeah."

Opa: "You must not have been listening very well if you thought it was the Silver War. The Silver War, huh? The war between the plates."

Kc laughs out loud and so do I.

We picture the fork attacking the spoon and even the ladle getting in on it.

After having a good laugh, I explain to Kc that it wouldn't be a very good sentence. It comes across as if the teacher isn't doing a good job on other days.

He understands and changes the sentence to 'Going to school is very meaningful'.

He finishes his homework and it is time for supper. It is his job to set the table. We hope that will go well and not cause any major problems.

Like a 'Silver War'. Grin.
