Our Boy Scout

Date of occurrence:
March 20, 2018.

The long-anticipated day has arrived. Tonight is the Cross-over ceremony when Kc will officially become a Boy Scout. Kc, his Mom, aunt A. and I are looking forward to it and make sure to arrive ahead of time.

It is held outside and we find a good spot to set up our camping chairs. Pizza is served for dinner and we are waiting for the darkness to fall. That is not a very pleasant wait, because it is extremely windy and very cold.

A little after 7PM the ceremony starts and our little man literally crosses the bridge, signifying the end of his Cub Scouts and the start of his Boy Scout career.

He lights his torch and receives his epaulets, neckerchief, and woggle.

We are so proud of him. Well done, little man.

We probably ought to say: 'Well done, Boy Scout!
