Mandicin
Date of occurrence:
December 25, 2018.
We are all enjoying Christmas dinner, when Lily suddenly tells Aunt A. that she needs 'mandicine'. She says it makes her feel better.
Aunt A. is a little puzzled and thinks Lily means she is melting the cranberry sauce in her mouth and therefor feels better.
Lily: "No. I need mandicine. Make me feel better."
Lily's Mom: "Oh. Medicine. She says she needs medicine, because it makes her feel better."
Ah, that makes sense. Lily has recently been plagued by strep throat and an ear infection. She got antibiotics and just completed the full round. She doesn't need any more 'mandicine'.
I try to teach Lily to say the word me-di-cine. She tries and tries and finally ends up with the word menicidine.
We think it's cute and laugh. We are just thankful she is cured.
No more 'mandicine' for her! :-D
