Number 9

Date of occurrence:
August 23, 2019.

It's around 8:30 am when our youngest daughter calls. She is excited and we soon find out why: she is having another baby.

We are a little speechless at first, because Londyn is barely seven months old. It takes us a little while to process it, but we are already in love with this bun in the oven.

Kc is excited. He has visions of it being a boy.
Kc: "I hope it is a boy. I am going to love him and take care of him and play with him all the time."

He has not considered the 50/50% chance it could be a girl.
Me: "What if it is another girl?"
Kc (coming back to earth): "Oh."
It is clear that idea doesn't seem too appealing to him.

He was as happy as a lark when Londyn was born and we don't expect any difference this go around. We know he wouldn't mind if he would have another sister again.

As for us, we have no preference where the gender of the baby is concerened. We are going to love it, take care of it, and play with it as much as we can.

We will be the grandparents of number 9!!! :-D
