Our First Granddaughter

Date of occurrence:
October 8, 2009.
Little Emmaly is one day old.

We have a grand daughter: Emmaly. We don't know her middle name yet, but she weighs 5 pounds even and is 18" tall. She is a little red head, just like our oldest daughter who is her aunt.

How we know? Our oldest got a mass text message this morning in which her sister announced that Emma was going to be born today at 12:30 PM. It turned out that she was having contractions and already was dilated. Emma is born 5 and a half weeks too early, but all seems to be well with both mother and baby. Thank The Lord!

Our oldest went to the hospital and she was in the delivery room when the C-section was performed and the baby was born. She got to see her nephews and took lots of pictures of them and little Emmy.

She mentioned when our grandsons saw her lil' Kc held her for the longest time. It broke our hearts, but God knows all about it. May He keep a hedge around these little ones and work in our youngest daughter's heart.

I just wished it would not hurt so much.
