Sand and Water II

Date of occurrence:
September 14, 2010.

I couldn't get over the fact that our oldest grandson did not even want to dip his little toes in the Gulf! We need to change that and show him that water is fun and nothing to be afraid off, especially not when you are walking along the beach and just are getting your feet wet.

Since we lead by example, I started walking towards the waves which came rolling on to the shore and as soon as they engulfed my feet, I ran backwards.

Little Kc stood there for a minute, watching me and then decided he wanted to get a slice of the action. Still a little insecure, he took my hand and we both 'tried' to outrun the waves.

It didn't take long before he was laughing and splashing in the water with his little feet.

We need to bring the grandchildren down to the beach more often, so they get used to it and relate sand and water to having a good time. :-)
